Why can't I sign in on this website?

What is a player alias and can it be changed?

An alias is an invented in-game name such as RiverFixer. It's the only name other players ever see. Changing an alias will be possible from the Player Hub once accounts are connected.

What is a player ID for?

A player ID is a short reference we can use to find a specific save if you contact us about a problem. It isn't shown to other players.

Will my town progress carry across devices?

That's the plan: progress will be tied to a secure account rather than a single handset, so a new phone keeps the same Willowmere.

How do I delete an account?

Accepted Answer

When accounts launch, deletion will be requestable from the game and the Player Hub, and we'll publish exactly what is removed and how long it takes.

Can I buy credits now?

Not yet. The store page shows prices and pack sizes as samples, so you can see the layout before purchasing goes live.

Where will purchases be processed?

Purchases made in the mobile game will be handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, so your existing device purchase approvals and parental controls apply.

Do credits expire, and are there loot boxes?

Purchased credits will not expire. There will be no loot boxes, randomised paid items, spinning rewards or countdown pressure. Every item will show its exact contents and price before purchase.

What about refunds and receipts?

Once purchasing exists, app store receipts and their refund routes will apply, and we'll publish our own refund and parent information before purchasing launches.

Is buying credits a donation?

No. Buying game credits is a purchase of in-game items. It is not a charitable donation, and we will never describe it as one.

The game crashed or froze. What should I do?

Close and reopen the game, then restart the device if it happens again. Note what you were doing just before it happened — that detail is the most useful thing in a bug report.

My town progress did not save.

Accepted Answer

Progress saves when a job finishes, so an interrupted job may leave the town showing its earlier state. Once accounts are connected, saves will be stored with the account so a device problem doesn't lose a town.

Which devices will KindWorks support?

KindWorks is being built as a mobile game for recent iPhone, iPad and Android devices. We will publish the supported versions with the store listings.

Some sections of this site are labelled Preview or Coming later on purpose. If a page looks wrong on your screen even so, the page address and your device type are the details we need.

No. KindWorks has no chat, no direct messages, no voice, no image sharing and no friend requests, and no public player profile pages to browse or search.

What do scoreboards show?

Scoreboards are planned as opt-in, and will show an alias, a chosen animal avatar and one in-game score. Real names, locations, ages and photographs are never shown. The boards on this site today are previews using invented aliases.
